We’re proud to share that our tea is now officially JAS Organic Certified! This milestone is the result of five years of dedication to natural, sustainable farming—growing our tea without pesticides and relying solely on organic fertilizers. It’s a meaningful step forward in our mission to share tea that’s both delicious and responsibly grown.

The "Okumidori" tea variety accounts for approximately 3% of the national tea production. It is known for its well-balanced flavor with minimal astringency. This new sencha has been shaded for a rare and extended period of 16 days.

【A smooth and gentle Umami】

Taste-wise, it offers a smooth and gentle umami with very light bitterness. Brewing it with hot water won't result in any astringency, making it a perfect choice for those who are not fond of the bitterness often associated with green teas.

The long and cold winter from late last year into early this year made us worry about this season’s tea harvest. As expected, our Sencha yield is about 40% less than last year, which is unfortunate. But with extra care and dedication, we’re happy to share that the quality is even better—smooth, mellow, and deeply comforting. Though the quantity is small, the tea is truly special, and we’re excited to share this joy with you. Let’s enjoy it together!
