Uji-hikari, A cultiver born in Kyoto
Suited for matcha and Gyokuro.
Very dark but shiny green color with a thick but not bitter and not strong taste so it is easy to enjoy.
We recommend this cultivar to matcha beginners and for people who like sweet tea that is not bitter. We also tried it with thick tea (koicha) and really liked it because most thick teas have a strong taste but Ujihikari can have a more mild and smooth taste.
