Suited for matcha and Gyokuro.

A unique cultivar in Kyoto.
Asahi is very suitable for matcha and often selected as the competition usage.
It has a rich taste of umami in the beginning but later you can feel some bitterness and finally the taste like green soybeans retain in your tongue.
