d:matcha’s Tenmyo
The Tenmyo currently offered by d:matcha is sourced from a young farmer in Wazuka and carefully processed at our own factory. Cultivated under 44 days of shading before harvest, this lot delivers remarkable umami depth and vibrant green color, truly representative of Kyoto’s new generation of cultivars.
In addition, d:matcha is currently nurturing young Tenmyo trees (just over 1 year old) in our own fields in Yubune, Wazuka. These trees are still too young for harvest, but they represent our long-term commitment to cultivating Kyoto cultivars on our estate.
