2024 Sencha First Flush: Samidori

This is the new tea harvested on May 9, 2024.

Samidori is a unique cultivar from Kyoto. As it is one of the representative matcha varieties of Kyoto, and most of it is cultivated for matcha production, Samidori as sencha is extremely rare. 

In this sencha, you can faintly sense the original aroma of the "Samidori" cultivar (a refreshing scent like flowers). While there is a slight bitterness, the umami is enhanced by the 12 days of covering, allowing you to enjoy a mellow taste.
