Cherry blossom represents Japan's spring, a traditional motif.

Hand-Painted Kyoto-Style Matcha Bowl

A special matcha bowl hand-painted by traditional craftsman Mr. Housen Maeda. In 1959, he was born in Kyoto as the second son of ceramist Masanori Maeda. After receiving training in ceramics from his father, he was trained in sculpture from a Sculptor and Kyoto City University of Arts Professor Emeritus Yamamoto Kakuji. He started his independent career by opening a Kiln in Nishinoyama, Kyoto City.
