 If what you're looking the signature fresh aroma of the first harvest, this is the sencha for you. Actually Yabukita is the most widely cultivated variety in Japan, accounting for 75% of the total tea production.

This Sencha Yabukita was harvested from the field next to Hakusan Shrine. The distinctive refreshing aroma, reminiscent of melons and cucumbers, is unique to this field.

<Hakusan Shrine Series> This Sencha Yabukita was harvested from the field next to Hakusan Shrine, just across the street from d:matcha store. This field is visited during d:matcha's Tea Picking tour, so if you have participated in the tour, you may recognize this field. Yabukita, Okumidori, and Gokō, three different varieties, are planted side by side in the same location, offering an opportunity to compare their unique characteristics.

 

 This is the 4th year in which we have cultivated our tea fields without the use of any pesticide. Furthermore, only organic fertiliser is used. This produce is also part of our Adopt-A-Tea-Tree programme.
